Russian cosmonauts clean space station windows.
Cleaning windows is often seen as a mundane, time consuming task. But what if you were doing this monotonous task 400km above the earth’s surface? Not so boring anymore, is it.
Russian cosmonauts, found themselves having to fit their chores in during a six-hour spacewalk. Alongside having to carry out maintenance tasks, installed new equipment, the cosmonauts had to give the windows of the International Space Station (ISS) a spring-clean.
As you may have guessed, your standard sponge and bucket of soapy water did not cut it for cleaning windows in space. Specialized tool kits have been developed. The kit has two swabs handles. The swabs are similar to a type of terry cloth, comparable to the ones used to clean the headlights of a car when they get hazy.
Unfortunately, Pristine Home have yet to find staff qualified to clean windows in space, but keep an eye on our website, as we hope to venture to infinity and beyond soon.
